Sci-fun is a program inspired by Mr. Arvind Gupta’s ideas and planned and organized by Associate Professor of GVM’s Dr. Dada Vaidya College of Education, Dr. Anna Neena George which was launched in 2011.
This program is an initiative to increase interest among students for science by making science concepts easier to understand. It gives students opportunity to learn through hands on experience. In this program, we emphasize on using throw away waste to make objects through which scientific concepts can be understood and visualized. These Sci-Fun materials are cost efficient and can be easily made by the students.
This year SCI-FUN program was conducted in four schools. Science students were made in to 2 groups and each group attended different schools on each day so that we could cover more schools under the objective of learning by doing
